Hi Simon, thanks so much for this! I love weaving stories into my messages but not sure how to find the right stories to illustrate what I’m saying. Any advice?
Thanks
Yemi
Storytelling is a fantastic tool, which is why Jesus used stories all the time.
To find stories, look at your own life experiences, as relatable stories make your message authentic. Maybe keep a record on a note app on your phone so you build a resource of stories in different categories (i.e. love, faith, discipleship, forgiveness etc.)
Additionally, books, news, films or even everyday encounters can provide relevant anecdotes to back up what you’re saying.
Here are 7 remarkable stories you can use in your sermons.
The key is to choose stories that resonate emotionally and amplify your message. Hope this helps! π
