8 Ways To Make Your Church Grow [ULTIMATE GUIDE]

how-to-grow-a-churchGod gives us growth but it’s our job to manage it.

You can’t force a crop to grow but you need to work the soil and manage the weeds in order for it to thrive.

If you mismanage a field, the weeds can stop the crop from going.

I believe we are in the best time in history  – more unbelievers are getting saved now than ever before, we are reaching more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ than ever before.

We’re not waiting anymore for God to bring revival, we know God has done all He needs to do already! You are predestined to bear much fruit, to have much influence and be successful. Jesus said this in John 15:16-17 –

“By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples…that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”

So let’s get straight to the good stuff.

1. A Growing Church Has a Growing Pastor

A growing pastor has a growing churchLet’s start with you.

To learn how to grow our churches and get them to where they could be we have to start with ourselves as leaders.

The hard truth is most churches are not growing because the pastor isn’t growing and is resistant to new ideas and change.

It’s crucial to set time aside for self-development and have a personal growth plan; read a book a week on leadership and church management, make sure you’re having quality time with God each day, commit to a sermon podcast a day.

Why not consider attending a pastor’s and leaders conference once a year, or meeting regularly with someone who is where you want to be.

I can’t overstate this: as a pastor, a leader, a father, you need to constantly grow and get better. Anything that doesn’t grow goes stagnant.

So don’t plateau! Invest in yourself and you’ll reap the rewards, I promise you. [READ MORE]

  1. This was encouraging, I have just started a church in a deprived area of my town and we have a congregation of about 10 people which we are looking to grow. We are a plant of a church of about 400 people.

  3. What a wonderful website. I personally don’t go do church anymore,I think most churches have to much of mans influence in them and not the historical teaching of god. Our bible has been rewritten so many times over the years by man to suit there own power agenda. I still believe deeply in God.

    • Hi Russell, I’ll be honest: there are a lot of great churches out there and some that I would tell you to avoid; the key is finding the right church for you. You need a Bible-based Church full of people you can relate to, be yourself and build friendships with. I wish you all the best in your search.

Jeremiah 29:13 says: And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

All the best Russell, thanks for visiting 🙂
