Last Update 7th October, 2016.
I will never forget when I learned the blessing in giving, my church offerings have never been the same since!
Instead of it being some obligatory routine I do ever Sunday, church giving should be something I get excited about doing because I see the blessing in it.
I love being part of the work of the local church and now I can’t imagine myself not giving and being a part of it.
So whether it’s giving our money and finances, our time or our skills, I think this was what Paul was talking about when he said,
“Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
The heart attitude behind our church giving really matters.
There is a huge difference between tithing and giving church offerings because I feel obligated to and intentionally (and cheerfully) giving out of a joyful heart and because I see the vision.
After doing some research for some upcoming offering talks, I put together these 21 Bible verses about church giving.
So whether you’ve giving a church offering talk or teaching others about tithing, the Bible is packed with tons of verses about giving, money and finances.
Here’s 21 Bible verses to get you started.
