Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?

  6. Simon, may the Lord 4 Evermore keep blessing you brother.

My name is Hector C. I live in the US. Question that came up in a discussion. The NT never speaks about Tithes and Offering , just gifts.

I was doing some reading and studying on this matter and found that most leaders like to alter the words that were spoken in the OT about first fruits. There was nothing said about wages, just items things and animals. Melchizedek received a tithes of everything that was given to him. But as we keep reading, it indicates it was only for the Leviticus priest.

In Jesus name if God opens the door for me to have a church, I would like to start the right way, not making up rules and regulations as we go along. It has to be a biblical taught church. Run by Father God and not by money, titles or degrees. Amen.

  7. How about this one from Acts 2:42-45
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

    • For me this one is what is called a free will offering, like the one apostle Paul would ask the other church members to put together has he goes round the other churches were poor and needed the help from their brethren so as to help them.
